Whether Eric’s performing solo acoustic, in an intimate duo or trio setting, or unleashing the full electric power of the Ransom Band — a Columbus original since 2004 — he brings soulful music and thoughtful lyrics to every stage he steps on.
His sound is a lifelong blend of rock, country, jazz, funk, folk, jam and soul.
His first two albums, Old Familiar Street (2023) and Sign of the Times (2025), were full band projects that introduced the world to his vision as an artist. 2026 brings two exciting new releases: The Ransom Cousins Band, a long-awaited collaboration with his cousin Mark Ransom out of Oregon, and the first official Ransom Band album.
As much as he loves the stage, the writing never stops. There are always new melodies waiting to be found, new words waiting to be shaped — and he wouldn’t have it any other way.
